Ishi no Hōden
Ishi no Hōden is a megalithic monument that is part of Ōshiko Jinja, a Shinto shrine,[1] in eastern Kakogawa Estuary in Harima, Japan.

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke ventured to the shrine after hearing of one of his mentor Kamiizumi Nobutsuna's students being nearby. Near the shrine, he found Tomita Nobutaka injured and aided him back on his feet. Nobutaka admitted that the onna-musha bested him with her naginata. Meeting her, Yasuke introduced himself while the woman introduced herself as Yuki no Kata and stated that she searched for him. After discussing their goals, they both agreed to a fight with their naginatas. After a lengthy duel, Yasuke bested her while she thanked him for the duel and gifted him a naginata Celestial Blade.[2]
While Yasuke left, Nobutaka went up to Yuki and professed his amoration while Yuki offered him a moment to pray together at the shrine.[2] At some point, Yasuke and his fellow Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe paid their respects at two of its smaller shrines.[3]
