Dunvegan Village

Dunvegan Village is a village in the west of the Isle of Skye.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 9th century, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir arrived at Dunvegan Village and heard a brewer complaining about his missing notes. Eivor soon saw a barred door of a hut and broke into the home, which held the notes. After retrieving them, she spoke with the brewer, who asked for her help to acquire the listed ingredients. Eivor probed the farm area and procured the ingredients, delivering them to the brewer, who thanked her for helping him make a new drink.[1]

During her travels, Eivor also recovered a paper from the village that entailed a tattoo design.[2]
