Database: Kensa
Nubian Gladiator
Born at the end of the Ptolemaic era in the first century BCE, Kensa was a Nubian gladiator in the Faiyum Oasis and a friend of Bayek. A fierce warrior, Kensa also had a bright and optimistic outlook.
Kensa and Bayek became close friends as children when Kensa's nomadic Nubian tribe camped outside of Siwa. Even though they were both young, Kensa taught Bayek survival and hunting skills that proved to be essential.
One of Bayek's earliest mentors, Kensa was insightful regarding people and their motivations, a skill she taught to him along with more battle-related ones.
Kensa was captured by slavers during a raid on Siwa. She later escaped slavery, fighting her way free.
During his investigations of people working for the Order of the Ancients, Bayek met Kensa again in the Faiyum, working as a gladiator in the Krokodilopolis Arena. They teamed up as the Siwan Warriors to enable Bayek to infiltrate the gladiators, believing two of them to be responsible for a murder.
When Bayek's mission was complete, Kensa offered to help him, but he refused, distrusting her mercenary nature. Kensa therefore remained a free warrior, working as a bodyguard and gladiator.
After the formation of the Hidden Ones, Bayek revised his judgement of her and invited Kensa to join them. She accepted gladly, pleased to be able to reunite with her childhood friend.
