Missing entries[edit source]
Just a question about fully missing entries
I notice two entries are missing entirely I have not verified they exist myself, but part of the wiki makes references to it. They are Doge Mocenigo, it will appear when you walk up to his dead body before killing Carlo Grimaldi and Piero de' Medici appear around Palazzo Medici or the Piazza della Signoria as a npc. If I verify it would the admins wanna do it or have me do it, then the admins make sure I have it correct? Coreyg1423 (talk) 19:44, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
Edit: I ask because I don't fully know how to make entries and I would prefer someone with the knowhows on how to do it properly
- The entry for the Doge should be Database: Giovanni Mocenigo, if I'm not mistaken. For the other one, if you can prove its existence in game, you can choose whether you want to try your hand at making your first entry (with me helping out) or if you want me to make it. I'll leave the choice up to you. Oh, before I forget, when leaving messages in talk pages such as this, it's standard/required for you to sign it by using ~~~~ after it. - Soranin (talk) 20:46, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
Edit: When researching miss names that either glitch or mainly unused I typed doge without knowing the full name of the doge, I relised it was there later when I walked up to him. For the other on its rare appears most likely if you explore Medici related areas, when researching every npc has a id attached for Piero de' Medici when developing Bonfire Of the Vanities that test id was assigned to a npc. If those ids match it spawns the database. This is really rare and only appears 1/1000 or 0.1% at a time. https://ibb.co/VSRvbD7 (this is the portrait of Piero de' Medici) 20:01, 24 February 2025 (UTC)
Rebecca's glyph note[edit source]
Hi everyone,
Quick update: I've been cleaning up the AC2 Animus 2.0 landmark entries (e.g., Santa Croce, Ospedale degli Innocenti, La Rosa Colta). Right now the pages are very inconsistent—some have Rebecca's full in-game note with the bold "**you**" (Desmond ref) and landmark link, others are missing it completely.
Key precedents: - Database: La Rosa Colta (AC2) has had the "**you**" bolded since the page was created in November 2009. - Database: Ospedale degli Innocenti (AC2) had the building linked as the landmark long before my edits.
I asked @Darman36 on their talk page at 01:32, 23 November 2025 (UTC) and proposed three options—no reply yet. A few of my matching edits were silently reverted (probably without realizing they were just bringing pages up to the same standard the older ones already had).
Just to be clear: I'm not an admin and I'm not trying to act like one. I'm just a regular editor trying to follow the wiki's own rules on consistency and verifiability the best I can. With no admin or page-owner correction in sight, I cannot allow these inconsistencies—which have existed in some cases since the pages were first created—to remain forever. So I'm going ahead and standardizing the missing AC2 landmark pages (Rebecca quote with **you** bolded, landmark link, tiny “(you = Desmond Miles)” note where needed). Everything is 100 % in-game canon and matches what's already on La Rosa Colta and Ospedale.
Long-term plan: once AC2 is finished, I'll continue down the entire series (Brotherhood, Revelations, III, etc.) fixing the same kinds of errors on other Animus database landmark pages that I never got around to before.
I don't want these changes undone without discussion—that would just recreate the same problems. Edit summaries will link back here. If anyone wants a different approach, just say something and I'm happy to adjust or pause.
Thanks! Coreyg1423 (talk) 15:57, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
Edit: After double-checking, I noticed that in almost every Rebecca note the building name is already linked inline in the quote itself. To keep everything clean and avoid any duplication:
- I'll add bold **you** and the tiny "(you = Desmond Miles)" clarification only where they're missing.
- I will NOT add a separate "Landmark" line or tag.
- If I spot any pages where I previously added an extra landmark line (or where one already exists redundantly), I'll remove it myself so there's never double-linking.
This keeps the pages consistent with the oldest entries (like La Rosa Colta) and removes clutter instead of creating it. Thanks! Coreyg1423 (talk) 16:08, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, I'm sorry for not replying to you. I had meant to respond but was preoccupied with other edits and forgot. May as well do so here. If all the in-game entries have Rebecca's same note on them, then I think the wiki pages should be amended for consistency. Linking Desmond as "you" is good, but I don't think you need to link "landmark" since the places themselves I believe are always name-dropped in the entry, so "landmark" is more a general descriptor. Oh, and you don't have to relink to this chat with every edit comment. You can leave it blank but check the "This is a minor edit" box since these are only minute changes. – Darman (talk) 16:15, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
