Assassin's Creed Wiki:Apprentices/Gabriel Auditore/PigeonCoop

Assignment 1 - Revamp: Bugs/Assassin's Creed II[edit source]
Back in mmyyyyyy day, the Bugs page was the first thing I revamped. It was a massive heap of text which resembled a Forum more than a Wiki page. Since then it has been cleaned up multiple times and during his Apprenticeship, Dark even gave it a massive revamp into sub-pages. But like a bad STD or Toppers, it just keeps coming back. I only gave the ACII section of it because it's big enough as a test, and because my music stutters hardcore when I scroll, so couldn't be fucked to check out the other sub-pages. The main problems appear to the headings which either break MoS or sound rather informal, and the OOU (Out of Universe - from the player's perspective) writing, e.g. "when the player..." or "once you...". I know the page is OOU itself, so OOU writing should seem okay, but it just doesn't look right, especially as it's not difficult to fix. Good luck, hope you don't get killed. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Funk Man's Funky House of Funk 10:25, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Interesting choice. Thanks for the advice; I'll be using Template:Apprentice Revamp on the article and a Sandbox in case I need multiple edits, right? Will get to work on it asap. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 10:49, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
I've spent the day preparing a first draft. You can find it at Delta.
Summary of changes:
- Intro redone according to MoS.
- Rewording OOU aka pretty much the entire article.
- Split into minor, major, and memory-specific.
- Renamed memory-specific glitches to the name of the memory and listed all related glitches.
- Linked to articles on the wiki.
- Fixed a few images, though they're still crappy quality.
- Changed thumb sizes for consistency.
Let me know if there's any other way I can improve the article. Thanks =) ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 20:57, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
Update: Task complete. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 10:43, September 27, 2012 (UTC)
Check the Progress Log for the evaluation. Time to pick your own now; add it here yourself when you're ready. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Funk Man's Funky House of Funk 06:26, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
Assignment 2 - Mini Revamp: Francisco Randez[edit source]
Sourceless information irks me. Count this as a minor task if you will, but I aim to source and update all information on this article and see if I can tweak the formatting a bit to make the article better. I feel we owe him at least that much. May take a while since I'm a little busy with classes and stuff. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 09:19, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Aaand we're done. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 12:37, October 9, 2012 (UTC)
Assignment 3 - Revamp/Expansion: [Assassin's Creed Achievement Guide/List of Templar Locations][edit source]
Initially, this task seemed simple - reorganize the information and update from the game guide. That was far from the reality, as the game guide didn't have anything on the locations, so the task had to be done the old-fashioned way. Regardless, the page was in terrible shape, and I'd like to think it's actually presentable now.
Task complete. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 14:27, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
Assignment 4 - Revamp: Crafting[edit source]
Two pages with a whole ton of junk code, typos and mistakes. Took most of the day, but I merged them, removed all the junk code, fixed all the errors, and now we've got the ultimate crafting guide for Assassin's Creed III. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 10:19, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
Assignment 5 - Article Creation: Assassin's Creed III (mobile game)[edit source]
I just got my hands on this, so I'll follow the format set by the other mobile game articles and write out the article with as much information as possible, and a reasonable number of images. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 11:00, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I'll add the plot section as suggested soon. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 19:24, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
Assignment 6 - Documentation: Database/Documents (AC3)|Almanac Pages[edit source]
I think this counts as a worthy task, based on the sheer volume of text that needs to be processed ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 19:24, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Finished. A note on all the errors there - that's due to the archaic language Poor Richard used, even the random capitalizations were also present in the original document. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 15:32, January 30, 2013 (UTC)
Assignment 7 - Article Creation: Kaniehtiio Horn[edit source]
I like to create VA articles, and I should be able to get this one done with a proper biography section as well. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 19:24, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
- An anon jumped the gun on this one, so I finished up quickly. Gave it a once-over and I think it's alright. Didn't include an "Assassin's Creed works" section because Sima doesn't like it when we repeat this info multiple times, especially since it's just one role in one game. Working on the other two now. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 12:05, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
Assignment 8 - Merging/Expansion: Villa Auditore[edit source]
Nesty once mentioned having all those separate pages for rooms was pointless, so I'm going to go ahead and merge them. My to do list for the task:
- Merge information from all room articles.
- Fix reference tags accordingly, and remove multilinking from the merge.
- Tag pages for deletion when done, delink them accordingly.
- Write out sections on the main hall and the workshop, which are missing.
- Adjust image positioning, wording, formatting. In other words, give the page a revamp once done.

Assignment 9 - Districts[edit source]
Okay, since you've made a jump in rank from 4 to 8, it is time to scale up the assignments as well. Basically, you will be revamping and expanding the district articles for Florence, Venice, Rome and Constantinople. A list will be provided by yours truly below. Make sure that the articles contain information on all relevant events that took place in the corresponding district (i.e. Ezio picking flowers for Sofia is not relevant for the district, the riot at the docks was relevant for the district.) This will test your knowledge on three games, your ability to make distinctions between relevant and less relevant and your editing skills in general. There is no time limit, so don't fret over that.
Florence[edit source]
Venice[edit source]
Rome[edit source]
Constantinople[edit source]
You are, of course, welcome to also continue your usual activity on the wiki. Furthermore, I don't think using putting your revamp template on all of them at the same time is such a good idea - best to do one city at a time. If there are any problems or you need help with anything, let me know and we'll get it sorted. - Foster Mentor Nesty Contact me! 12:29, March 6, 2013 (UTC)

- Pardon my lack of activity - due to the riots that took place across the country last month, my school schedule's turned hectic since our board examinations are in May. I've been working on the assignment offline whenever I've had the time, though. I'll get them done as soon as possible. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 07:41, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
- It's fine, I was just wondering. Nesty Contact me! 10:00, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
- No progress still. A little disappointing, I must say... Nesty Contact me! 17:04, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
- Apologies once more Nesty, I've saved what I've done so far on my laptop and decided to postpone work on it till June 5 (the day my exams end), after which I'll be able to resume my usual IRC presence and general wiki activity and focus on getting the job done. ~ GI Auditore Comms Channel 07:46, May 30, 2013 (UTC)
