Aristomenes Camp

The Aristomenes Camp was a bandit camp in the Mines of the Great Trench in Messenia, Greece. Found in the southern part of the region, this camp stood on the slopes of Mount Taygetos overlooking the valley below.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the bandits, freed their captives and looted their valuables.[1]
