The Cave of Tethys was a partly-submerged cave located on the Greek island of Kephallonia, situated amongst the ruins of the ancient city ,Kranioi.

Dedicated to the Titan Tethys, the cave was explored by the misthios Kassandra around 431 BCE.[1]

  • In Greek mythology, Tethys is the name of a daughter of Uranus and Gaia, said to be the mother of Greece's rivers after she married her brother, Oceanus.
