Mithras vs Mithra

Altair's codex mentions Mithra comparing his story to that of Jesus, Horus, Dionysus, etc. Should we treat this the same individual as Mithras. Mithra is the Persian predecessor to the Roman Mithras and while connected the level of continuity from one idea to the other is debated. Currently the mention of Mithra in the codex links to here.
