Trygg was the thrall to Thorsteinn Silvertongue in the late 9th century. He was the husband to Eadith.
In 871, Trygg collected supplies for Thorsteinn's voyage to England in Nottfall, clearing his debt in full. Thorsteinn then proposed Trygg return willingly to him as a slave and promised to free him after they were established in England, taking him as a partner in trade, to which Trygg agreed.[1]
By 885, Thorsteinn had kept his promised and they settled at Jorvik. Trygg met Eadith and converted to Christianity [2]
