Perseus' Sword of Eden
|
I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |

Perseus' Sword of Eden was a Sword of Eden used by Perseus to slay the gorgon Medusa[1][2], after she had been transformed into the Writhing Dread by an artifact which later was retroactively known as Prize of the Medusa.[3]
History
Over the years multiple weapons were purported to be the one used by Perseus. A sickle called Hermes' Scythe was on display in the Temple of Dionysos Kolonatas in Sparta during the 5th century BCE alongside other relics alleged to have been a part of his story. During the Peloponnesian War a sword claimed by the Spartan misthios Kassandra after defeating Ligeia, the last incarnation of the Writhing Dread, was a possible contender.[3]
During the 1st century BCE the apparently same blade was found by the Medjay and founder of the Hidden Ones Bayek of Siwa.[4]
