New York City is a city in the United States of America, and the capital of the state of New York.

History

After having fled from the Assassins during the early 20th century, Desmond Miles ended up living in New York City, working as a bartender at a successful nightclub.

In 2012, after Desmond Miles was forced into killing another member of his Assassin team, Lucy Stillman, Desmond and another teammate Rebecca Crane were transported to New York City from Rome, Italy by Desmond's father William. Desmond, who had entered a comatose state, continued his Animus sessions here, and the three of them were joined by Shaun Hastings soon afterwards.
