Laurent Doré (died. 1793/94) was the second lead actor of the Theatre Troupe of Amiens.

Biography

Married to the ingenue Rose, their marriage was tumultous due to his abusive and controlling behavior. However, he grew wary of his wife and her relationship to the lead actor Barto. One night, his jealousy turned violent when he began to strike his wife, who revealed her affair with Barto. Angered, he left with a razor to confront Barto.[1]

While his troupe readied for their production of "The Barber of Seville," Doré tracked and killed Barto in the courtyard and headed towards their love-nest above a nearby café. However, he was tracked himself by Rose's brother and fellow Ficarron, who took the same razor and killed Doré for his sister's abuse. The crime was soon solved by the French Assassin Arno Dorian, who figured out that Ficarron was Doré's killer.[1]
