Julu

Julu Commandery (巨鹿郡) was a historical commandery of China, located in modern-day southern Hebei.
During the An Lushan Rebellion, the rebel jiedushi led his men into the commandery while on its journey towards the Tang eastern capital, Luoyang. The rebels compared the "Lu" from the county's name to that of An Lushan's "Lu", given its similar pronunciation. Claiming that name of "Julu" was meant to signify defying agains their leader, the rebels burned down the city in 755.[1]
Yan Jiming and the Hidden One Li E arrived shortly after the city's destruction, where they witnessed the state of city and its inhabitants. They spoke to one of the residents, who spoke of Yeluohe soldiers from a nearby beacon tower stealing from the civilians despite their plight.[1]
