Hungladder

Hungladder is a village settlement in the northern part of Scotland's Isle of Skye.

History

In the 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to Hungladder to find one of the shards for the pedestal within the Cave of Gold. From her search, Eivor found notes, which described how the artifact was plaguing the people of the settlement. Eivor also saw how the plagued villagers killed one another and burned down each other's homes as well. From her inspection, Eivor found the shard within a tunnel underneath the village. Eivor retrieved the shard and left the settlement quickly afterwards.[1]
