The Eleusinian Mysteries were religious rites that were a key element in the cult of Demeter and Persephone in ancient Greece.

Based in the Sanctuary of Eleusis in Attika, the Mysteries were an annual event held in the Telesterion.[1] According to legends, numerous legendary figures participated in them, including the nymph Melissa.[2]
