Ding Shuge was a Chinese artifact appraiser formerly from the state of Zhao who lived during the Qin dynasty ruled by Qin Shi Huang.

By 215 BCE, he settled in the city of Yangzhou near the Great Wall of China and offered his services to a youxia who was a disciple of the spearmaster Wei Yu. In exchange for any artifacts they came across, Shuge offered them rewards in the form of ingots and ban liang.[1]
