The mother of Desmond Miles was the partner of William Miles, and they lived together with around eleven other couples in an off-the-grid Assassin compound known as "the Farm" in the Black Hills, South Dakota, United States.
She gave birth to Desmond in 1987, and often informed him of the secret war that the Assassins were waging with the Templars and Abstergo Industries. In 2003, Desmond ran away from the Farm, thinking his parents to be mere conspiracy freaks,[1] and not being able to deal with the emotional distance of his father, which his mother had learned to handle.[2]
The Farm was later attacked by an Abstergo team in 2012, though while William managed to escape before the team arrived there, the fate of Desmond's mother is unknown.[3]
