A decipher fragment.

Decipher fragments were digital objects spread throughout the memories within The Lost Archive.

Trivia

Proximity to one was signaled by a 'shimmering' sound effect identical to the ones heard near treasure chests, feathers and Glyphs in Assassin's Creed II.
Collecting the fragments constructed an image in the database, leading to a hidden door in one of the memories.
Collecting all of the fragments (20) made it possible to break the Loop.

The "Find all pieces" achievement was awarded for collecting all decipher fragments.
