He who increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow. This article contains spoilers, meaning it has information and facts concerning recent or upcoming releases from the Assassin's Creed series. If you do not want to know about these events, it is recommended to read on with caution, or not at all. |
Adéwalé[1] was a former slave from Trinidad, and a member of the Assassin Order. He was Edward Kenway's quartermaster aboard the Jackdaw.[2][3]
During the Golden Age of Piracy, Adéwalé pointed out scenes of interest to the pirate Assassin, who could then intervene or ignore them. At some point, he helped Edward gain the Jackdaw and its crew.[4][5]
Trivia
- Adéwalé is a variant of the Yoruba name Adebowale, suggested to mean "crown has come home." [6]
- Ubisoft confirmed that one of the single-player downloadable content additions included within the Season Pass will be focusing on Adéwalé's life, which is named Freedom Cry.[7]
