Cannon Street station

Cannon Street station is a major railway terminus in central London. Opened in 1866, the station is located in the City of London, on the northern bank of the River Thames.[1]

It is approached by the Blackfriars railway bridge from Southwark, which runs parallel with Blackfriars Bridge. The station also sits adjacent to Temple Church.

In the autumn of 1888, Simon Swins, Moses Penning, Remy Bowting, and Berty Lisrae met at the station, along with their cohorts. They were a group of gang-leaders working for Jack the Ripper; because of their connection the serial killer, Arthur Weaversbrook, a newspaperman, had requested the Assassin Evie Frye to deal with them.[2]

Trivia

  • The in-game representation of Cannon Street station is located further up the River Thames than its real-world counterpart. It instead sits where Blackfriars station would later be built, in 1886. In gameplay the station is actually not a terminus and it is a train stop.
