Cannon Street station
Cannon Street station is a major railway terminus in central London. Opened in 1866, the station is located in the City of London, on the northern bank of the River Thames. It is approached by the Blackfriars railway bridge from Southwark, which runs parallel with Blackfriars Bridge. The station also sits adjacent to the Temple Church.

The station was built from 1861 to 1866 following an Act of Parliament in 1861 allowing its construction. Opened on 1 September 1866, it later came to include a hotel, which was built a year later and designed by Edward Middleton Barry, the son of architect Charles Barry, who designed the Palace of Westminster. Due to its close proximity to the River Thames, the station helped bolster Cannon Street as the center of trade and became populated with warehouses and industrial buildings.[1]
In the autumn of 1888, Simon Swins, Moses Penning, Remy Bowting, and Berty Lisrae met at the station, along with their cohorts. They were a group of gang leaders working for Jack the Ripper; because of their connection to the serial killer, Arthur Weaversbrook, a newspaperman, requested the Assassin Evie Frye to deal with them, and she did so successfully.[2]

- The in-game representation of Cannon Street station is located further up the River Thames than its real-world counterpart. It instead sits where Blackfriars station would later be built, in 1886. In gameplay, the station does not act as a terminus but rather a train stop.
