Bas de Jong was an Assassin and a part of a cell in the late 21st century.

Biography

Around 2081, Bas and his fellow Assassins Tatyana Dane, Poul Agard, Elu Ahoka and Baba Myubi acquired intel from Joel Eastman, the son of the deceased colleague and Assassin Geoff Eastman. From the information, they later formed their plan to abduct Dr. Wilhelm Muller, a Templar psychologist working for Abstergo Industries, off a transport route. While finalizing their details, they begrudgingly allowed Joel to assist them in their mission.[1] Despite successfully capturing Muller, the Assassins soon argued with Joel about when they will interrogate the doctor.[2] From the interrogation, Muller had revealed that two scientists, Dr. Junko Maeda and Cayetano Ortiz, were working on a secret project for Abstergo,[3] where they planned to use their design to alter genetic memories to their liking.[4]

After the interrogation, Bas and Poul conducted a perimeter sweep after finding Muller had killed himself, but Dane later uncovered that he used a cyanide capsule.[4] They later made contact with Maeda and Ortiz, who requested their help to escape their facility, with the condition of Ortiz's family being rescued. In response, they tasked the scientists to sabotage their own work.[5] After they finalized the last details of the rescue plan, everything was set. One group planned to exfiltrate Maeda and Ortiz, while Bas and Poul were assigned to find and to rescue Ortiz's family from Abstergo.[6] Fortunately, after dispatching and killing the Ortiz family's guards,[7] the two Assassins successfully rescued Sunita and her sons Javier and Rodrigo and made plans to reunite them with Cayetano.[8]
