Rodrigo Ortiz
Rodrigo Ortiz was the son of Abstergo scientist Cayetano Ortiz and Sunita Ortiz and the brother of Javier Ortiz.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Around 2081, Rodrigo and his family were kept by Abstergo Industries security while his father Cayetano left to work for the next seven months with his fellow coworker Junko Maeda on a secret project at a blacksite.[1] With his dad's work being highly restricted and vital, his family were restrained and kept as the company's hostages.[2]
However, the Assassins devised a plan to rescue Rodrigo and his family from Abstergo while another team were tasked to save Cayetano and Junko. The Assassins Bas de Jong and Poul Agard[2] successfully executed their rescue while dispatching the Abstergo guards outside where the Ortizes were held.[3] Then, Bas and Poul reunited the family with Cayetano, who was rescued by Tatyana Dane and Joel Eastman, with the fortuitous help of his creation, the artificial intelligence Ego.[4]
Personality and traits[edit | edit source]
In an unsent letter from Cayetano to Sunita, he expressed his feelings on how his work on Project Mnemosyne could be used against his family, changing their personalities, saying he feared to see "Rodrigo's wild creativity tamed.[5]
