History[edit | edit source]

On 21 April 1429, Jeanne d'Arc and Gabriel Laxart rode to Blois to meet with the rest of the French army, part of which was quartered within a fortress and another part of which dotted the surrounding fields with hundreds of tents. While there, Jeanne confronted a prostitute and warned the soldiers away from sinning. The next day, the army would march to Orléans, seeking to break the months-long siege.[1]
