"The Alexandrian Poets, have I mentioned them? ...Are a group of dramatic artists dedicated to promoting free thinking throughout the land, no matter what the pharaoh says."
―Phanos the Younger to visitors in the Library of Alexandria, 48 BCE.[src]-[m]

The Alexandrian Pleiad is the name given to a group of poets and tragedians in Alexandria, Egypt, during the 3rd century BCE.

Phanos the Younger, a poet who lived during the 1st century BCE, was a fan of the group, mentioning them in his speeches to visitors at the Library of Alexandria.[1]
