If you are reading this, alone and hunted in the Dark, be comforted.
For there will be a day when ploughshares are bent into knives, and those in chains strangle their captors. Though you are isolated now, mistrustful; though you jump at your own shadow, there will be a day when the dregs and splinters of resistance come together under common cause.
It has happened at every point in human history. A power grows so large and paranoid that it dedicates a disproportionate effort to suppress dissent, until the very damming of the river is what finally breaks its banks.
That break has already happened. Our Guide was slain by the enemy. Make no mistake, this was the desperation of a threatened and fearful foe, and they know now that the day is coming. For what they meant as murder has instead made a martyr, and brought entire legions of us into the Dark.
And we are coming.
