Wei Yu was the assassin of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. For his act in fighting tyranny and preserving the welfare of the people, Wei Yu is regarded by the Assassin Brotherhood as one of their predecessors.

Biography

The first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, was a tyrannical ruler with ties to Templar Order. In order to protect the people, Wei Yu resolved to free the land from Qin Shi Huang's oppression.[1]

On 10 September 210 BCE during one of the Emperor's tours of eastern China,[2] Wei Yu struck the Emperor with his spear, killing him.[1]

By the time of the Renaissance, Wei Yu's sarcophagus had been moved in a secret tomb located on the top floor of the Torre Grossa in San Gimignano, Italy. The Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze explored the tomb and took the hidden seal from the sarcophagus, which later allowed him to obtain the Armor of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad sealed in the Sanctuary beneath Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni.[1]
