Crusader

The Crusader is a multiplayer character for the upcoming game Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and should not be confused with the Christian armies of the Third Crusade, the Crusaders, which share the same name.

When Ezio Auditore da Firenze obtained one of Seals of Altaïr from Leandros, he relived the life as the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who had came back to Masyaf to find that his mentor, Al Mualim, had been captured and some of his ally Assassins murdered.

Before the events occurred, the Crusader was a secret Templar, who had entered into the Assassins before his betrayal, though he stated that he was not a traitor from the start for he "could not betray those who he never truly loved." He then told Altaïr that taking any steps forwards would result in the death of his mentor, so Altaïr did what he was told and stopped, while the Crusader closed the gates and returned to Al Mualim.

In order to get to the Templar, Altaïr had to find a different route to infiltrate the Assassin fortress, choosing to climb up some wooden scaffolding until he reached a ledge on the wall. Going along the castle walls, Altaïr ran to a rooftop directly above the Crusader, while he shot one of the remaining Assassins with a crossbow below. Jumping from the tiled rooftop, Altaïr air assassinated the Crusader with his hidden blade.

As the two talked in the memory corridor, the Crusader mocked Altair for following the Creed, stating that while he believed that he may not be wise enough to understand it, he suspected that he was too wise to believe in the rubbish he thought it was, before dying.

He wears black and silver armor with a helmet that shows the Templar cross. His name and main weapon are currently unknown.
