The Assassin's Creed III soundtrack was created by Scottish composer Lorne Balfe, who also composed the soundtrack of Assassin's Creed: Revelations in collaboration with long-time Assassin's Creed composers Jesper Kyd and Neil Davidge. With  mordern day music composed by Neil Davidge who also acted as arranger and editor.

Background

On June 14, 2012 Lorne Balfe confirmed on Twitter that he would be the sole composer for Assassin's Creed III.[1]

In mid-October of 2012, Ubisoft released several 30-second samples of all the tracks within the Assassin's Creed III soundtrack on a French website.[2]

Trivia

  • The Assassin's Creed III soundtrack is the first soundtrack of the series' main games not to feature Jesper Kyd.
  • There are several tracks from the game which are not present on the soundtrack. These include music from the first encounter with Faulkner and the Aquila, the music which plays whilst in a restricted area, and the fight music which plays when contesting a Templar fort in the Frontier.
