Assassin's Creed Revelations is a side-scrolling platformer game for the mobile platform developed by Gameloft and released alongside the main game in 2011.
GameplayEdit
The gameplay is similar to that of the other mobile platform games, with the player navigating across levels in a 2D platformer perspective, dispatching guards and targets using a simplistic control system.
The game has 9 levels, 2 of which involve the use of Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine, comprising of various locations such as Constantinople, Masyaf, and Derinkuyu - an underground city and Templar Stronghold. The player can play as Ezio or Altair on the level and has a variety of abilities, including running, dashing, crouching, jumping, swinging on poles or chains, blending with merchants, and attacking with different weapons. During the span of the game, the player's health is indicated by a health bar at the top left of the screen.
WeaponsEdit
Throughout the game, Ezio will make use of his hookblade, sword, pistol, and bombs. Altair can use the hidden blade, sword, and a grappling hook. The player can also use horses during certain levels, and balloons, to help them reach high places.
ApprenticesEdit
During missions, the player will often find fellow Assassins in need of help. Rescuing them will unlock the Assassin as a recruit to be used for guild missions, which are executed in a similar manner to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, complete with a levelling system for the recruits. The recruits may be called upon during missions and completing all guild missions increases the player's health bar.
