Your family tree twists and turns through surprising corners of the world and even streches back to a period of great conflict in 14th century China.

Li Tong was born on January 31st, 1387 on the outskirts of Beijing, China. His parents were followers of the great teacher Fang Xiaoru, a leader of the Assassins' Order in China. In 1402, the Emperor Yongle rose to power in a bloody coup against his own family and declared that he would bring peace and order to China. Some believe he was secretly funded by the Templars, who have manipulated institutions for centuries.

Yongle's police swept across Beijing rounding up thousands of suspected Assassins, including Li's mother and father. They were all executed. Li barely escaped the purge, along with an Assassin apprentice whose family was sworn to protect Li. Some say they also carried an Apple of Eden which was rumored to possess magical powers beyond understanding and bore a cursed mark.

Li devoted herself to protecting the Apple and stopping Yongle's vicious repression. One night, while the emperor was trying to crush an uprising to the wast of the Gobi Desert, a lone figure slipped into his tent. By morning the emperor was dead. His reign of terror was over. Li moved from Beijing and raised a family but remained with the Order.

In the late 1400s, the Spanish Empire tried to conquer every corner of a so-called "new world". It set events in motion that are still being felt and that you soon won't be able to avoid.

Miguel Ramón Carlo de Lugo was born to Spanish colonists in a tiny settlement near the bay of San Juan, Puerto Rico. His mother died in childbirth and his father abandoned him. Alonso Carlo, a freed slave and a translator for the colonial army took the boy in as his own. By the age of 9, Miguel was fluent in Taíno, Arawak and Spanish.

In 1508, Juan Ponce de León arrived on the island with 2,000 Spanish soldiers. Miguel suspect that a powerful group was secretly guiding his life, just as they are guiding your life now. de León showed no mercy in crushing any opposition his rule.

In 1510, he accused Alonso of organizing an assassination plot against him and ordered him to be hanged without a trial. Before he could be captured, Alonso fled with the boy to the Florida coast where they found safe have with the local Seminoles.

In 1521, Juan Ponce de León set off on what some have described as a crazed quest for a magic fountain that could restore youth and health to all who drank from it. The Assassins knew that what de León would find there was not a fountain, but a powerful artifact known as a piece of eden. When de León's expedition arrived in Florida, they were greeted by a young hooded man who tried to convince de León to turn his troops away. de León refused. Within minutes, an arrow pierced de León's armor and the young hooded man faded into the wilderness. de León survived the arrow wound, but not the poison it delivered. de León's quest was over.

Murat Bin Husn was born May 2nd, 1474 in Constantinople. At age 11, Murat's parents signed him over to the Imperial Army in hopes of a better life. Within a few years, Murat had become a respected leader in the Janissary military.

Recognizing his unbreakable will, the Sultan entrusted Murat with one of the empire's greatest prizes: the Armor of Ishak Pasha. Some believed the armor had magical powers and was marked with a cursed sign. Murat suspected a powerful group was secretly guiding his life just as they are guiding your life now.

Murat hid the armor in a tomb and began the largest project of his career, to defend the city by renovating the harbor's Great Chain. Within months, Murat's life was turned upside down. A hooded man infiltrated the city, stole the armor and destroyed the great chain. Afraid for their lives, Murat fled the city with his family. Murat's descendants have spread across the globe.

The bloodline details the life of Ludger Duvernay, an expert printer, word smith and civil worker, born on 1/22/1799 in Canada. Ludger Duvernay played a key role in the movement in Montreal by helping to disrupt the government. As a result of publishing certain articles in which he accused the Canadian administration of serving the Château Clique, the leaders of the Templars at that time, he was arrested and imprisoned on charges of spreading false information, and the Clique even rallied the public against Duvernay. The Brotherhood of Assassins, who previously financed him, hoping to expose the government's connections to the Templars, quickly freed Duvernay from jail. After his release, whispers of an artifact used to control the public arose. Later on, Duvernay founded the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society, hoping to spiritually unify Quebec and gain independence from Canada.

You've probably heard about a disease spread by fleas on the backs of rats but there's a lot more to the plague that you haven't heard and your life may never be the same.

Lukas Zurburg was born on October 28th, 1322 in the German city of Essen. Lukas was recruited into the Order of Assassins at age 16, after a group of strangers saved him from a thief on the road to Adendorf.

By the time Lukas was 26, the plague had visited Essen, wiping out nearly half the town's population. A mysterious hooded group, known only as the Brothers of the Cross, traveled through the German countryside promising protection from the disease. Rumors throughout Central Europe told of an ancient Ankh, with the power to heal the sick and even resurrect the dead. This suspected Piece of Eden was also said to carry the Mark of the Messenger inscribed on it. Lukas believed that the Brothers of the Cross were a Templar front, trying to locate and secure the Ankh for themselves. Templars have operated front organizations for centuries, some closer than you might imagine.

No explanation has ever been recorded, but in 1350, the Brothers of the Cross suddenly disappeared, and Lukas was never seen again. A woman, rumored to be carrying Lukas's child, moved away from Essen and found her way to a new country, where her descendants settled and multiplied.

The bloodline details the life of Mina Bergson, born 2/28/1865 to a loving family in Geneva, Switzerland. Her family moved around Europe and eventually settled in London. At the age of 15, she flourished as a student of arts and befriended a writer named Annie Horniman. Annie introduced her new friend to the brotherhood of Assassins. Mina never developed a strong religious faith and since the brotherhood sought protecting free thoughts by any means, she welcomed the group’s free spirit.

In 1887, it was arranged for Mina to pretend to take interest in a man named Samuel Mathers, a rising star in a group of occultists who were planning to build one of the most influential secret societies in the British Empire. The Assassins knew that Samuel was being funded by the Templars and Mina suspected that the powerful group was secretly guiding her life. The Templars were seeking a mystical book somewhere in London that was said to grant access to powerful knowledge and carry the Mark of the Seer inscribed on its final page.

Eventually, Mina and Samuel married and he founded the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn with two associates, William Woodman and William Westcott. Just years into the Golden Dawn's expansion, William Woodman died mysteriously. As a result, William Westcott and Samuel Mathers fought for control of the group. Amid the chaos, Mina was asked to leave her husband and rejoin the order, however, she refused. Samuel Mathers died mysteriously at the age of 64. Mina took his place at the head of a new secret order, Alpha et Omega. Contrary to the official history, Mina had just one child.
