::I actually always thought "the Plan" was just the creation of Abstergo Industries itself, not the broader scheme of replacing the nobility with the middle-class as their new puppets. But this is just based on the Abstergo File. If the Plan was devised in 1910, this would be later than Germain's "Great Work" unless there was a slight bit of retcon. It really doesn't help that Ubisoft can't be bothered to think of more original names for these things (e.g. "Second Disaster", "Great Catastrophe", "the Vault", "the Precursor box", etc....) Isn't this "Plan" the same idea as François-Thomas Germain's "Great Work" that intended to abolish nobility and replace with mercantile forces, i.e., just another name/stage in the Templars' quest for their New World Order? – Darman (talk) 02:20, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

I'd argue that this is closer to an event than a goal, which is what the NWO is, though I must admit I don't feel strong enough one way or another (for or against the merge). - Soranin (talk) 03:35, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
I actually always thought "the Plan" was just the creation of Abstergo Industries itself, not the broader scheme of replacing the nobility with the middle-class as their new puppets. But this is just based on the Abstergo File. If the Plan was devised in 1910, this would be later than Germain's "Great Work" unless there was a slight bit of retcon. It really doesn't help that Ubisoft can't be bothered to think of more original names for these things (e.g. "Second Disaster", "Great Catastrophe", "the Vault", "the Precursor box", etc....)
