Skegi

Skegi was a Norse fisherman who, with his wife Stikla settled and founded a fishing village on the coast of Lincolnshire, England.

In the 870s, the village was forcibly taken and occupied by a band of bandits who sought to exploit and profit from the rich supply of fish in the village. The villagers were forced out, including both Skegi and Stikla who were both forced to secretly watch from a nearby cliff. After some time, Skegi and Stikla were visited by the passing Viking Eivor Varinsdottir, who lent her aid to eliminate the bandits and return the village to them.[1]
