Skegi's Beard

Skegi's Beard was a Norse fishing village located on the coast of Lincolnshire, England. Founded by fishermen Skegi and his wife Stikla, a band of bandits overran and took the village for themselves after seeing how much it prospered from the rich supply of fish.

In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir came upon Skegi and Stikla as they overlooked the village from a nearby cliff. Eivor agreed to lend her aid to clear the village of the bandits and returning its control back to the couple. While clearing the village of the bandits, Eivor also claimed a nickel ingot from a treasure chest.
