Sainte-Catherine-de-Fierbois is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.

History

On 5 March 1429, Jeanne d'Arc and her entourage stopped in the French-occupied village to rest. Jeanne and her step-cousin and friend, Gabriel Laxart, entered the village's church to pay their respects to the village's patron saint.[1] On 7 March, after returning from Chinon on the request of Jeanne, Gabriel and the Assassin Jean de Metz found a Sword of Eden underneath the altar of Saint Catherine.[2]
