Leroux was a French warden of a local prison who worked in La Bièvre, Paris.

Biography

Leroux worked as a warden of a local prison in eastern La Bièvre alongside his deputy warden Hugo Soulière during the French Revolution. During his tenure, problems arose in both his personal life and work. Leroux owed a substantial gambling debt to the local gang Les Marcheurs Morts. However, Leroux and the gang leader worked out a compromise to release some gang members to cover his debt. Leroux also requested a new deputy warden as Hugo became hostile and incompetent at his work. At home, he became paranoid due to his suspicions of his wife cheating on him. [1]

One night while walking home, Leroux was followed and killed by Hugo, who was equipped with a weapon custom-made for the Les Marcheurs Morts. After dumping his body in a tannery, Hugo cut off Leroux's head and displayed it on a pike at the prison. Realizing all the issues Leroux had, Hugo believed he covered his bases. However, when the French Assassin Arno Dorian discovered Leroux's body and investigated, he deduced Hugo was the culprit. After he rightfully accused Hugo, Arno took the deputy warden to jail.[1]
