I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.

The father (died 1526) of Kotetsu was a Japanese-born member of the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins in the early 16th century.

Biography

A native of Japan, Kotetsu's father was in service of a warlord at the beginning of the Sengoku period. Following a great siege during which many people were slaughtered, he left his beloved homeland and relocated to China along with his infant son. By the 1520s, he joined the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins led by the Mentor Wang Yangming, and was one of the few Assassins to survive the Templars' purge of the Brotherhood during the Great Rites Controversy.[1]

In 1526, Kotetsu's father learned that a Precursor box stolen by the Templars was in the possession of Gu Dayong, one of the Eight Tigers who oversaw the slave trade in Macau. He managed to relay this information to Wang Yangming shortly before he was captured by the Templars along with his son. Thrown into Dayong's stronghold, Kotetsu's father distracted the guards to allow his son to escape. He was then taken to be interrogated until Shao Jun killed the soldiers torturing him.[2]

The Assassin told Kotetsu's father that his son was safe and attempted to get him out of the stronghold but his injuries were too severe. He asked Shao Jun to tell his son "Kotetsu will return home" before passing away. Shao Jun performed his last rites and left to exact revenge on Dayong.[2]
