The Hesperides are the three nymphs of the evening in the Greek mythology.
History[edit | edit source]
The Hesperides are the caretakers of a garden in the far west of the world, in Northern Africa. The garden was special because it produced golden apples, and in order to reach it, one had to pass the Titan Atlas.[1]
As part of his twelve tasks, the hero Herakles was sent to fetch the apples.[1]
