The Fishermen's District

The Fishermen's District was a bandit-infested district located in southwestern Osaka in Izumi Settsu, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Iga kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe arrived in the district after finding a clue about a kidnapping ring and how one of the conspirators, Shucho, was trying to locate her latest victim, who was rumored to be in the district. Fortunately, Naoe found the child first and instructed her to run away while she confronted Shucho. Killing the kidnapper, Naoe recovered a tantō, the Ink Spiller, from Shucho's personal effects.[1]
