―The Monk revealing his purpose to the research analyst.[src]-[m]

As Abstergo studied the memories of Alonzo Batilla, an unidentified group created The Monk, a digital construction based on Eustace designed to fool the research analyst reliving the memories into stealing information from Abstergo's databases. The glitch took the form of a mysterious hooded figure active in the Caribbean Sea, seeking information and merchandises, and tasking Alonzo with finding parcels protected by powerful warships. In the simulation, the first two appearances of the Monk were in Scorpion Reef in June 1716.[1][2] A month later, the Monk tasked the Abstergo analyst two more times while located in Bahía de Guadiana, Cuba.[3][4] In November of the simulated session, the Monk appeared in the Florida Keys, with a further two requests.[5][6] In January 1717, he appeared in Havana,[7][8] February in the Grand Bahama,[9][10] May in Nassau,[11][12] September in La Boca del Diablo,[13][14] and December in Mayaguana, these requests were all like the others and two in each location.[15][16] The Monk appeared twice again to the Abstergo analyst in March 1718 on Harbour Island.[17][18] In August in the Caicos Islands, during the Monk's last encounter and appearance to the analyst, the Monk revealed his identity and purpose and disappeared.[19] [20]
