Egypt is a country in northern Africa.
History
According to legends, Isis, the mother of all Egyptian Gods, owned the Ankh and used it to protect the kings of Egypt from harm. After some time, Osiris, Isis' lover, passed away. Isis then used the Ankh to revive him for one night, and during this night, Horus was born. After that, the Ankh was left in a pyramid for 200 years, until it was taken away by Roman plunderers. The Ankh eventually made its way to Rome.[1]
Between 702 and 690 B.C.E., Shabataka ruled over Egypt using the Staff of Eden. [2]
In 30 B.C.E., the Assassin Amunet assassinated the Egyptian queen Cleopatra with an asp.[3]
By 1257, Darim Ibn-La'Ahad and his brother Sef's family had moved to Alexandria. The family was still present in 1511, as Altaïr descendant Iskender had become Mentor of the Egyptian Assassins. The Italian Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze sent apprentices from Constantinople to prevent his execution. The Egyptian and Turkish Assassins also worked to recover Memory Seals from the destroyed library of Alexandria.[4]
