The Painted Lady berthing in Derna

Derna is a city in Libya, on the Maghreb.

In 1805, the merchant ship Painted Lady carrying Solomon Bolden and Jan van der Graff arrived in the port of Derna. From there, van der Graff and Bolden traveled to Tripoli, their intended destination, using camels procured by the former.[1]
