As the cherry bomb contained sulfur, it would exploded with a loud bang when ignited, to which the noise attracted any guards within earshot. If one was detonated in the correct place, it could also be used to create a conflict between Ottoman and Byzantine patrols. As such, the Assassins used this to great effect, to create distractions, cover their infiltration or to escape.
 
One notable instance in which the cherry bomb was used was when the [[Italy|Italian]] [[Mentor]], Ezio Auditore, utilized the bomb to get past a guard patrol with [[Yusuf Tazim]], as the two attempted to recoup the [[Grand Bazaar]] [[Assassin Dens|Assassin Den]] from [[Templars|Templar]] control.

Cherry bombs were explosives that could be utilized by Ezio Auditore da Firenze and the Ottoman Assassins, which detonated with a very loud bang, luring every guard within earshot. It could be crafted using any shell or gunpowder type combined with the sulfur effect.
