Artifacts In Play is an exhibition running from 27 February – 30 August 2025 at the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi delving into artifacts from the city of Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate. Assets from the 2023 video game Assassin's Creed: Mirage featured in the exhibit.[1]

In 2023, the video game publisher Ubisoft partnered with the Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture & Design to include two objects from their historic collection in the video game Assassin's Creed® Mirage. In this exhibition, discover these precious artifacts and learn how they are used in Assassin's Creed Mirage.
The game's action takes place in 9th century Baghdad, the capital of the mighty Abbasid caliphate. More than just a city, Baghdad is the center of the world. At the crossroads of the silk routes, it is a place of political power, scientific innovation, cultural knowledge and progress.
