Klein was a Templar operative who formerly worked as Security Chief at Abstergo Industries' secret facility at Hallen's Bluff in the late 21st century.

Biography

Around 2081, Klein argued multiple times that the Assassins posed no threat to the Templars, believing they were too disorganized to coordinate and act, and that any threats could be contained by the facility's current system. However, he was soon drastically proven wrong[1] when Abe White and his Assassin cell infiltrated the building and found information on the Templar scientist Dr. Wilhelm Muller's location. Although Klein's team killed White, his fellow Assassin Geoff Eastman escaped with fatal wounds and delivered the intel to his son Joel.[2] Muller's subsequent abduction meant that information on Abstergo's secret project was no longer contained.[3] For Klein's failure to adequately prepare for enemy action and his inability to stop the information leak, Director Arlan Ospanov fired Klein immediately and placed him under internal review for disciplinary measure.[1]
