Han, this is what I have on the enemy operative known as Aed. I know you want a smoking gun, I don't have it yet. I just need more time.
THREAT PROFILE
-- REPORT SUBMITTED BY ROBERT JIMENEZ
TARGET NAME: UNKNOWN ALIAS: Aed (#8665)
KNOWN AFFILIATES: Assassins (defunct?), Watchers (active)
KNOWN ASSOCIATES: The Mentor (#1118), The Dealer (#3272)
Not much is known about Aed and our usual sources claim to be unaware of their existence.
Intercepted Watchers communications (attached below) confirm our suspicions that Aed was involved with the terrorist group dubbed the "Assassins." Their exact role and involvement with the 2081 attack and its aftermath remains unclear.
What I can confirm is that this entity does exist and that the Blackthorn Incident and -REDACTED- were Watchers operations conceived and executed by Aed, using tactics that match previous Assassin operations. Which leads me to believe that the Watchers may be a new incarnation of the Assassins, previously believed to be defunct.
Intrusions into the Watchers cell have remained unsuccessful. Operatives Malick and Rongier had failed to report back in months and forensics confirm that the teeth samples recovered from the Blackthorn site match their DNA records. This pattern of burning enemy operatives and buildings suggests a modus operandi we can now confidently attribute to Aed. While large scale destruction is seemingly at odds with what we know of Assassin methodology, it does match a reported incident dated 30 November 2012.
If we triangulate Watcher activity alongside the victims who were burned to death, we could find a radius of operations. But that will take some time. However, it is highly probable that Aed has been within the city limits in the past six months. With the 15th year anniversary of the Abstergo attack looming, I strongly request deployment into the Watchers cell.

I need evidence. Not conjecture. Give me something solid or better yet, give up this Aed obsession of yours. I'm reassigning you to the Virus.
