That "a lot of fans" is not just grabbed out of nowhere :/ Check the AC subreddit, check the ubisoft forums, check facebook, check tumblr, and you'll undoubtedly happen upon people who are '''happy '''about the idea of Ubisoft taking a break for 2016.

Sure, Syndicate was better, but with Unity, that was hardly a large hurdle to jump. At this point, it is pretty much undeniable that annualization is hurting the quality of the games (as well as gamers' excitement for them). Also, given Ubisoft's track record (AC3 -> Black Flag -> Unity/Rogue -> Syndicate), there's no guarantee that the next game would be better. What the development teams need is more time.
