Why not? A lot of the fans are suffering from franchise fatigue, and with a setting like Egypt, I'm all for it if Ubi decides to give themselves more time so they can polish it. Call me cynical, but I have a hard time believing the businessmen of Ubisoft forgoing the amount of money that Assassin's Creed brings in each year.

Not everyone is you by that logic if you guys messed you should take a break for a year. I believe in them sure they messed up in Unity but I still love it. Syndicate is better and the next one would be even great.

That "a lot of fans" is not just grabbed out of nowhere :/ Check the AC subreddit, check the ubisoft forums, check facebook, check tumblr, and you'll undoubtedly happen upon people who are happy about the idea of Ubisoft taking a break for 2016. 

Sure, Syndicate was better, but with Unity, that was hardly a large hurdle to jump. At this point, it is pretty much undeniable that annualization is hurting the quality of the games (as well as gamers' excitement for them). Also, given Ubisoft's track record (AC3 -> Black Flag -> Unity/Rogue -> Syndicate), there's no guarantee that the next game would be better. What the development teams need is more time.
