Several florins.

Florin (symbol ƒ) was the standard unit of currency minted and used in Florence, Italy, during the Renaissance.[1] It was also widely used in Rome in the same period.[2]

Behind the scenes

The value of the florin as shown in-game is wildly inaccurate, with the historical value being equated to several hundred to a thousand United States dollars in today's currency. In-game, however, the value is much lower than this.
