History
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe found the monk Meiran, a master of the bō, near the camp after a fellow monk expressed concern for his welfare. When Meiran explained that he had run from a group of bandits for their sakes, Naoe reminded him of his demonstration at Makinoodera Temple. However, Meiran insisted on following his own path to find a better vantage point, which led Naoe to escort him.[1]
Venturing closer to the camp, the two were attacked by its bandits but ultimately defeated them. Continuing along Meiran's path, he and Naoe soon arrived at a vantage point. Naoe proceeded to draw a sumi-e of the landscape and admitted that she found it relaxing before they continued onwards to the temple.[1]
At some point, Naoe and her fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke returned to the camp and looted the trinket Oni's Fury from its treasure chest.[2]
